OPC volunteers work with Just Neighbors, a separate community organization, to split, store and distribute firewood to needy families and address other such needs. Over the last several years, Just Neighbors has assisted area families in a variety of ways.

Members of the congregation regularly contribute food and volunteer at the Londonderry Food Pantry. There is an ongoing need for such provisions.

During  winter, and supported by members
of the congregation, OPC young people participate in the Ski-a-Thon for Heat. Rising fuel prices make this a priority activity for OPC and other organizations.

Through its members, Old Parish Church provides support to Heifer International. Founded in 1944 to provide food, income-producing animals and training to citizens of impovrished villages around the world, this worthy organization partners with churches and individual contributors to purchase animals for those in need - with the caveat that each family that receives an animal agrees to pass on one or more of that animal's offspring to a neighbor's family.

Each year, Old Parish Church distributes Thanksgiving dinners to families in Weston and nearby communities. Members of the congregation donate food items and cash to purchase the turkeys and the trimmings.
In 2009, 14 deserving families were the recipients of the boxes of groceries shown at right, plus, of course, the "guests of honor" (a.k.a. turkeys). The Old Parish Church wishes to thank the Weston Women's Club for a generous donation to this cause in 2009.
Community Outreach

An important part of the Old Parish Church mission is to identify and address community needs. As individuals and as a congregation, we participate in the following community projects and activities.
